Cefas Science Talks: Sharing Our Evolution-Guided Probiotic Strategy with a Global Audience
Cefas Science Talks is a seminar series hosted by the UK’s Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas), a world-leading government agency for aquatic science. The series brings together researchers, industry, and policymakers to discuss the latest advances in fisheries, aquaculture, and marine environmental science. It is a key platform for translating science into policy and commercial practice.
On May 20, 2026, our Project Director, Prof. Luo, was invited to present at this event. His talk, “Evolution-guided discovery of persistent and functional probiotics,” introduced our framework for selecting probiotics that can persist in the host rather than requiring repeated dosing. The invitation reflects growing international recognition of our science and its relevance to the future of aquaculture.
